Mr. Magnus has over 20 years of management experience in the energy sector.  Magnus assembled the Storm Orka project team and cultivated relationships with key external parties and advisors. He overseas all aspects of its business, including project selection, project development, negotiations and other related tasks.

Before forming Storm Orka, Magnus was CEO of America Renewables (AR), a renewable energy developer focusing on small hydro and geothermal projects in North America. Before forming AR Magnus was the CEO of Iceland America Energy (IAE), a renewable energy developer in North America. As CEO of IAE, Magnus directed the company’s growth and strategic vision. He was lead negotiator on a land leasing and energy sales agreement with a major utility, and has navigated large energy projects through regulatory compliance, managed expectations of environmental and lobby groups and other stakeholders, and successfully licensed and drilled a geothermal production well in a State park.

Before joining IAE Magnus was the COO of Enex, the parent of IAE, and worked on developing geothermal projects in Eastern Europe and the United States for, among others, the World Bank and MOL, the Hungarian Oil Company.

Prior to joining Enex, Magnus established business relationships between California and Scandinavia in close contact with high ranking executives in both areas, worked closely with the Senior Energy Advisor to the Governor of California shortly after the California Energy Crisis, and was Corporate Consultant in Total Quality Management in the Icelandic energy sector for several years.

He completed a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Aalborg University in Denmark.
