Sigurður has close to 10 year’s experience in environmental management. As Environmental and Permitting Manager Sigurður is responsible for moving renewable energy projects that Storm Orka is developing through the regulatory process while managing any environmental issues related to the projects and minimizing project impact.
Sigurður has a Master of Science degree in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Iceland. He has a Bachelor of Art in acting from East-15 Acting School, London.
Sigurður is currently working on a Ph.D. with the faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iceland. He is also a researcher for GreenMar, a pan-Nordic research project on green growth.
Before forming the company Sigurður was a Project Manager for a research project into the Bio-economy of the Nordic counties for the University of Iceland.
Before that he worked as a specialist for the Environmental Agency in Iceland. He was also a Project Manager at Garðarshólmur, cultural and research facility in the making in Húsavík.
Sigurður was a Founder and Director of Brian, an alternative theatre company in London. He worked as a recording artist with Atco/East-West record company in New York City, USA.
